Refund & Withdrawal Policy

1. Your statutory 14-day withdrawal right (EU consumers)

When you buy a peggoo subscription online, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of payment without giving a reason (Dutch Civil Code art. 6:230r). To exercise it, email support@peggoo.com (or use Settings → cancel) before the 14 days elapse. We refund via the original payment method within 14 days of withdrawal.

2. Digital services: what withdrawal means in practice

Before you check out, you consent to immediate performance of the digital service (the subscription period starts at once). Under art. 6:230u BW:

If you withdraw before we begin performance → full refund;
If you withdraw after performance has begun → we refund the unused proportion of the period;
Once a period is fully delivered (you consumed the whole month), the right of withdrawal for that period ends.

In plain terms: cancel in week one of a monthly plan and you get back the part of the month you did not use.

3. Our practical commitments (more than the law requires)

Service-failure refund: if a paid month had a significant outage of core chat features (more than 72 continuous hours), we credit that month automatically;
First-payment guarantee: if you request a refund of your first monthly payment within 14 days — for any reason, even after using the service — we grant it once per customer;
Plan changes: downgrade takes effect at the next renewal; upgrading charges only the remaining part of the period, pro rata.

4. What is not refundable

Usage already consumed within a fully delivered period (see §2), and free-tier usage (nothing was paid). This policy does not affect statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

5. How to request

Email support@peggoo.com from your account address with the payment date. We respond within 5 working days and process approved refunds within 14 days to the original payment method. Refunds are handled by our payment provider (Stripe); depending on your bank, funds may take a few additional days to appear.
